I’ve seen Dubai written off several times in the last two decades, but each time it bounces back, and history tells us that over time, your property will increase in value – despite what the pessimists say!

Every 3.5 years there seems to be a property cycle in Dubai when the market dips and then picks up again. Sometimes the cycles are shorter but the recovery is faster. In 2008 we had the global recession some people were extremely pessimistic about Dubai. But in 2011 it started recovering… it always does, and today the city has expanded and grown even more.

During the Covid pandemic, the market crashed significantly but this was a chance for risk-taking entrepreneurial investors to step in. They bought during the crash and saw significant appreciation after the pandemic. In recent months, property has been at an all-time high and hasn’t really shown signs of slowing down. Many investors have seen their profits double or even triple since the pandemic.

I’ve spoken before on this blog that Dubai is more than a city… it’s a brand. And due to the great leadership of Dubai and the changes and innovations constantly coming, there is little chance of the city slumping. In fact, there’s always something new on the horizon and there’s always exciting ventures and reasons why people would want to move here. When I first came to Dubai, the population was just over 1.5million whereas today it’s pushing towards 4million. The city’s ALWAYS on the move.

From a real estate point of view, the buildings are constantly getting better, the developers are always improving and some of the newer developments have amenities that can’t be rivalled anywhere in the world.

Many of the world’s cities look to the past for their selling points, but Dubai looks to the future. Events, tourist attractions and unique hotspots mean I have full hope that it remains the best city in the world to invest in, and I remain confident that the prices will continue to increase.

Not only am I still selling properties in Dubai on behalf of my clients, I’m also buying properties for myself. I don’t just talk about it, I do it myself. The next deal is always round the corner. If you want to get a slice of the Dubai market, get in touch. We can advise you on the best location and site that will be perfect for you.
