Real estate is all about winning – but it’s not just about real estate knowledge. There are other keys to being successful that I wanted to share, some of them are more about lifestyle than knowledge. Here are my top five tips to a winning lifestyle:

You can only believe if you trust, and trust begins with yourself. Trust comes with honesty and loyalty. Once you start being honest with yourself, you will automatically start believing in yourself and so will others. Before getting into real estate, you need to believe your gut, intuition, and eye for wherever you are investing. Self belief is huge and confidence can be felt by others.

Plan it out
Planning and organisation are the first steps to starting something and sticking to it. The law of attraction says that your experiences and outcomes depend on the way you think, and we believe your thoughts are in your hands, it’s your choice to whether look at the glass as half empty or half full. It is important to plan and organise your next move so that your subconscious mind knows what’s next, so before investing in real estate you should know what you are going to get out of it, whether you are going to rent it or do house flipping and how you are going to do it, how much time and money it could take, all of these questions are to be considered. “When you put a plan in place, the law of attraction takes you to it.”

Dedication and motivation gain our focus on becoming disciplined. Every little work you do needs to be disciplined from eating healthy to getting the right amount of sleep. “Starve your distractions and feed your focus”, the deviation will only cause confusion and more procrastination every time and that is the same when it comes to real estate… you should always follow what you have decided to do with your purchase, sticking to it and growing it the way, you thought should remain consistent. Staying disciplined in little tasks will help and prepare you to stay disciplined for the major tasks and professional lifestyle like not deferring your choices.

“You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with” means the people you spend the most time with have a great impact and influence on your life, so you should always surround yourself with people who are positive, supportive and will help you achieve your plan, people who can act as strength and mentor you in your journey. Building connections with different and successful people will help you get ahead, and you will always learn something new. In the real estate journey, you would need great connections, especially the ones who have an eye for the properties and are experienced in noticing both pros and cons along with profits and losses.

Be level-headed
You should have a clear and balanced state of mind even in difficult situations, and always have a reasonable and professional approach irrespective of your position. “Grow yourself, not your ego”, don’t let your ego get to you, failure is a part of success, keep trying until you reach your goal, and you will see improvement and change in yourself every time you repeat. Repetition of the same task will help you ace it, you will only learn from your mistakes, and keep learning and reflecting on them until you reach a point where you can finally buy properties and invest in them in the correct direction Give yourself credit but never overdo it, growth is limitless.
